  • Newsletter sign-ups: Your email address when you subscribe to our mailing list.
  • Donations: Payment information is processed directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers. We receive your email address and donation amount for record-keeping.
  • Institutional partnership inquiries: Contact details you provide when enquiring about organizational partnerships.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, referring URLs, and browser type — collected via standard web analytics to help us improve the site.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, and operating system collected by our hosting provider as part of normal server operation.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for the following purposes:

Petition management
Tracking signatures and communicating campaign progress to signatories
Email communications
Sending newsletters, campaign updates, and important announcements to subscribers who have opted in

We do not share data with social media platforms, data brokers, or advertisers.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Petition signatures: Retained for the duration of the campaign and up to 2 years after closure for reporting purposes.
  • Newsletter subscribers: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Contact form submissions: Up to 2 years, or until the enquiry is resolved.
  • Donation records: 7 years as required by financial regulations.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized within 12 months.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
