How We Beat Gambling
Click our icons to see what steps we took to tackle this mental health crisis.
Step 1
Find alternatives for your time that mean something to you
One of the most important parts of recovery is replacing the time, energy, and obsession that gambling used to take up. Find something to fill your time with that builds you up rather than tears you down.
Step 1
Step 2
Limiting access to money
Having money easily available can backfire if it creates temptation to gamble. Having someone control your finances or at least oversee them can be incredibly valuable, because accountability is key to continued positive outcomes.
Step 2
Step 3
Limit access to gambling
Self-exclude from casinos and make gambling as difficult to access as possible. Tools like Gamban can help block casino apps and gambling sites from your devices.
Step 3
Step 4
Attend support group meetings
My group meeting was Gamblers Anonymous, and weekly accountability check-in sessions while working through the steps to become a better person solidified my recovery. That support has helped me stay clean since November 12, 2022.

Send Us a Message
Not sure where to start? Send us a message and we'll do our best to point you in the right direction. We respond to all messages within 24–48 hours. Your story matters, and so does your recovery.
